Your grandfather, at one time, invested a great deal of thought, time, and energy in an interdsiciplinary Ph.D. program in the social sciences. Consider "talking" with Don C-L as his anthropological interests, as you know, include gender and with Bethe who actually graduated from the U of C, in anthropology no less (I think the average time in THAT program is 17 years).
